The first report was that this was a carjacking gone array, now Vernon Forrest’s murder is being called a robbery gone bad. Whichever the case it does appear that this young, talented, caring, philanthropic, Black man was leered away from his vehicle and as he walked back someone shot him multiple times. One source is reporting that as many as four persons were involved, "On the video, you can see a man getting out of the passenger side of the car. You can see the driver and the man being chased by Vernon Forrest. You can also see a fourth man who was possibly serving as a lookout. We're not suggesting they were all involved in the murder, but they were there playing a role." The question is WHY? This was obviously not a random act.
